In Spring in Victoria, you can choose Warm or Cool season grasses or a blend of both.

If you choose a cool season mix ensure you plant it with enough time for it to establish before the hot summer weather arrives.

If you want to sow a warm season grass, wait until the warmer Spring weather has arrived to sow. Sometimes this can mean waiting till late October.

When you've sown your seed you then need to be careful to always water with a fine spray. Anything stronger will remove the seeds!

Always keep the surface moist. If the weather is particularly warm and windy, you'll need to spray often with gentle watering.  You may need to constantly water during periods of drought.
