Liquid fertiliser for high quality turf with a vibrant, dark emerald green colour.

Description

Nitro Green Iron Boost Liquid Fertiliser

Dark emerald green in 5 to 7 days.

Nitrogen 15% | Iron 6% | Manganese 2% | Liquid | 1 litre

Nitro Green Iron Boost Liquid is a professional-grade liquid turf fertiliser with iron and manganese, formulated for dark emerald green, high-quality turf. It gives a rapid, impressive green-up within 5 to 7 days, making it ideal before parties, weddings and special events, or whenever you want your lawn looking its very best.

Suitable for all lawn types, including Buffalo, Kikuyu, Couch, Ryegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Fescues and Bentgrass.

What's in it?

Nitrogen (15%) drives leaf growth and green colour.
Iron (6%, as iron citrate complex) deepens colour for that rich, dark emerald green.
Manganese (2%) supports healthy, vibrant leaves.

The iron and manganese are combined with citrates, which help the leaf absorb them quickly.

Why choose a liquid fertiliser?

Nitro Green Iron Boost Liquid works fast. The leaf absorbs the nitrogen, iron and manganese directly, with no granules to break down, so you'll see colour within 5 to 7 days. Spraying also gives an even dose across the whole lawn, where granules can sometimes be applied unevenly.

Why fertilise?

Every time you mow, your lawn loses nutrients, and over time it loses colour and vigour. A regularly fed lawn grows thicker and greener, builds stronger roots, and has better resistance to disease.

How often should I use it?

Apply every 4 to 6 weeks during the growing season to keep your lawn a deep green.

Big event coming up? Apply 5 to 7 days beforehand for brilliant green on the day.

How to apply

Use a good quality sprayer. A 5 to 10 litre sprayer is ideal; look for one with a wand or fan nozzle and good quality fittings.

  1. Mix: Dilute 200 to 400ml of Nitro Green Iron Boost Liquid in 5 litres of water per 100m².
  2. First pass: Spray one light, even pass across the lawn.
  3. Second pass: Spray again across your first pass, like a grid, so no strip is missed or double-dosed.
  4. Let it dry: It's absorbed through the leaf, so don't water it in. Leave the lawn dry for at least a few hours.
  5. Protect hard surfaces: Avoid spraying onto concrete, pavers and paths, as iron can stain. Rinse off any overspray straight away.

Always apply at the recommended rate. More isn't better, and overapplying can burn your lawn.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is liquid fertiliser better than granular?
They do different jobs. Granular fertilisers like All Seasons and Super Green are your lawn's regular feed, building long-term health through the year. Nitro Green Iron Boost Liquid is absorbed through the leaf for a fast, deep green within 5 to 7 days. Many people use both: granular for their regular feeds, and the liquid for an extra boost or before a special occasion.

How far ahead of an event should I apply it?
Apply 5 to 7 days before your event. That gives your lawn time to absorb the iron and manganese and reach its deepest green on the day.

Do I need to water it in?
No. It's absorbed through the leaf, so let it dry. Watering straight after spraying can wash it off before it's absorbed, so leave the lawn dry for at least a few hours. For the same reason, avoid spraying if rain is expected soon.

What time of day should I spray?
Early morning or late afternoon is best. Avoid spraying in the heat of the day or during a heatwave, as this increases the risk of leaf burn.

When can I mow?
Wait until the spray has fully dried and been absorbed. Waiting 24 to 48 hours is a good rule, the same as with granular fertilisers.

Will it stain my paths or driveway?
Iron can stain concrete, pavers and other hard surfaces. Take care when spraying near edges, and rinse off any overspray straight away.

Will this burn my lawn?
Not when used correctly. Stick to the recommended rate, spray evenly in two passes, and avoid spraying in hot weather.

Is it safe for kids and pets?
Keep kids and pets off the lawn while spraying and until it has fully dried. Store the bottle out of their reach.
