Winter rolls around again in Australia. See our tips for sowing and maintaining your lawn this season.
Winter to-do list for lawns:
- Fertilise. If it’s very cold, Nitro Green Iron Boost fertiliser works effectively in colder weather and greens up super quick.
- Oversowing in Winter makes your lawn look better. Follow our lawn seed suggestions below and use our sowing instructions to get the best results. Be patient in colder locations where germination will be slower.
- Apply an insecticide like ACELEPRYN to avoid grub attacks.
- If you have a couch, kikuyu or buffalo lawn use ECHELON DUO, to control wintergrass and insect pests with added benefit of a fertiliser treatment.
- Use a herbicide to tackle actively growing weeds. Use a pre-emergent like RECONDO to protect from Wintergrass. Repeat in Spring. BOW & ARROW or RAVAGE Herbicide for Broadleaf weeds.
