CUSTOMER RESULTS - Sun and Shade Blend (Kew, Victoria)
What a result we have to share today. Lachie in Kew, Victoria unfortunately had a pool leak in the backyard, meaning a lot of digging to at least half of the lawn. Result: Big mess!
Because it was lockdown last year he had a bit more time to focus on the project. Lachie called it his "iso lawn project" and got to work after he's chosen Rapid Green Sun and Shade Blend.
He hired a tiller, removed the existing grass and added about 3 inches of top soil before he was ready to sow.
Sowing begain in October and the lawn was established before the full heat of summer. After some extremely hot days Lachie fertilised his lawn late summer to give it a boost.
"I love the dark green colour of this grass blend. After long hot summer it was challenging and struggled a bit in some patches so I decided to oversow. I oversowed in Autumn this year to fill in the gaps and get it looking great!" - Lachie
Tips from Lachie:
1. I think I probably sowed a little late in October as the lawn probably wasn't established as it needed to be before the summer heat. I would recommend sowing in September rather than October to get the lawn up and established before summer.
2. Don't mow too low as it hides any dirt patches! I keep it a little higher.
3. Don't forget to fertilise.
