FERTILISING: Avoid burning patches into your lawn!
When applying fertiliser to your lawn, it's really important to apply it evenly and water it in. This way you can avoid having burnt patches on your lawn.
Backstory:
A customer sent us these photos after he's realised he'd been a bit heavy handed with his fertiliser!
He'd thrown it out and forgot to water it in. He got in touch to ask for advice on how to avoid the problem in future.
Great Aussie Lawns Solution:
- Use a fertiliser spreader like this one (3400 hand spreader)
- Measure out the right amount of fertiliser for the area you're covering
- Water the lawn as soon as you can after irrigation and use enough to irrigate the fertiliser into the thatch and off the leaf.
