LAWN SEED TIPS

It's still possible to sow in the winter! Yes, you heard that right you can still sow in the winter months. Be patient as germination will be slower in colder states. If you're having a warm winter in your area, sow as normal, watching watering needs. Newly sown seed needs to remain damp in the soil. Create a good soil bed and use Kickstart Fertiliser.
Northern Territory, Northern Western Australia, Northern Queensland
Hotter areas choose warm season varieties or cool/warm blends.
Victoria, Southern Australia, Tasmania, Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Southern Western Australia
Choose cool season grasses. Take note that germination will be slower.
FERTILISING TIPS
All States
Fertilise in warmer locations. Established lawns use All Season Reno. For iron use Best Nitrex Fertiliser. Keep mowing heights higher where growth is slower.
HERBICIDES TIPS
All States
Watch out for weeds appearing hand pull or use a herbicide to treat. Use Bow and Arrow for Buffalo lawns. Use Ravage for cool season lawns.
