Zoysia Lawn Seed - Is it the right seed for my home lawn?
The most important point to know about Zoysia grass is that it's a TROPICAL lawn variety. Meaning it won't grow and thrive year-round if you're not in a hot, tropical area.
Zoysia grass is a warm season grass that grows well in heat (in fact it LOVES the heat)! It's very drought resistant and will also cope well with heavy use.
In tropical, hot areas its active growth period starts in early or late spring and peaks in the hot summer months.
At Great Aussie Lawns we stock Compadre Zoysia grass. Compradre is an improved variety that has good green colour, texture and density, meaning it's ideal for commercial landscapes and home lawns.
